• Or use a small recorder to catch the genius, surreal, far-fetched, whatever....
• Be sure to back up your work, since computer crashes are possible.
• Don't judge yourself or others for crazy ideas.
• Dare to loosen any fixed perspectives you're holding.
• Find ways to reassure yourself, to deal with the uncertainty.
• Use a grounding stone like hematite, or a calming essence like lavender.
• Yawn or take deep breaths if you're overwhelmed by anxiety.

It's a hair-raising day, with Uranus (in Pisces) stationing direct adding its charge to the static in the air. The Hopi weren't kidding when they said the river will be moving very fast, and now we move toward the rapids. Strange shocks may become the norm, as Uranus moves forward to go into Aries in May of 2010. Uranus awakens, often by causing a sudden bust-up of the status quo. As the liberator, it breaks us free of what's got a hold on our consciousness.

Recently John Cusack said he thought that 2012 was all about an epic change in consciousness. It's hard to define consciousness, but I see it as the soul currents both in individuals and the collective. Many visionaries say that dark forces are trying to keep humanity's consciousness at a certain level. And that the "end times" are all about shattering a matrix that has kept us from knowing ourselves as divine.

We're in a time now of mental restlessness, with the Sun in philosophical Sagittarius. It's a great time to see all the parts of the picture for yourself, which is the first step toward being a free thinker. In our time of so much confusion, it's hard to have a sovereign mind. But you give a gift to the world -- through the shared field of consciousness -- when you achieve that. So raising your own consciousness contributes to the whole.

It's time to let go of rigid thinking, and let curiosity take over. The changeable nature of Gemini (Moon) and Sagittarius (Sun) reminds us that we're free to think wild and crazy thoughts. We're free to harness the power of our own minds. We can break out of limiting frames of reference, and let some fresh air in.

Saturn (in Libra) gives weight to the spirit of initiation that often comes at the lunar peak. Among the steady stream of ideas coming at ya -- from the genius to the irrational -- there may emerge the outline for something substantial to pursue. Here's a special alert from Arthur R. Gianfermo of Aquarian Solutions on today's Mercury square to Uranus, exact at 2:25 pm EST. "Could mean major disruption to electronic grid, internet, communications devices. Expect mega transportation crisis around the world from airports to highways." Both Mercury and Sagittarius relate to travel, and together, it translates to high speed travel. It can't hurt, then, to hold onto the handrails of moving vehicles, and watch the road if you're driving.

Gianfermo adds this caution: "BE PREPARED also for more shocking news hits as problems in the economy hit fan along with major communications and transportation breakdowns amid multiple protests, riots with violent unrest around the world." Uranus has a way of unsettling the status quo. And this is popping the supports of a foundation that's already targeted for restructuring by the Saturn square Pluto aspect.

This kind of alert is not meant to create more panic, but like a weather report, to make readers aware of the influences at play. If you get overwhelmed by anxiety, you can know that this too will pass. It's good practice for the greater tensions to come. To cultivate a sense of observing what's going on, rather than being lost in it.
