Molly Hall's Astrology BlogGhostly Signs
When you live in "America's Most Haunted City," you get used to seeing circa 1975 Cadillac hearses roll by full of tourists, along with tour guides in period costume -- or are they ghosts? -- walking around town. Savannah, GA is one of those places where the events and people of days gone by have left an impression! Nearly everyone has a ghost story to tell, or knows someone with a ghost-in-residence. All this paranormal activity has been blamed on everything from the tides, to unusually high electromagnetic energy. We make dark humor puns about our "grave problem," as a city literally built upon its dead. The first city cemetery, for example, is now a row of shops, and a hotspot for supernatural activity. But Savannah is also just an old city (relatively) where psychic echoes seem to linger within its historic buildings. Ghosts express themselves in many ways, from hurling things around as a poltergeist, to appearing as a gossamer, barely visible apparition. And you've probably seen the most common -- the orb -- a round ball of light that are easy to catch on film, especially on new and full Moons. In the spirit of Halloween, when telling ghost stories is the pastime of the season, here's a sample of haunting-styles by Sun sign. It's meant to be a light-hearted dispatch from a truly haunted city filled with "stuck energy," some of which used to belong to living, breathing, real people.
