Neptune's Light

Wednesday October 31, 2007

A little cosmic serendipity has the planet of illusions, masks and fantasy going stationary direct (Exact at 3:07 pm EDT) on Halloween. What a great night to lose yourself under a costume, tap into something dormant and freaky within, and join a street party or parade. It's the one night when everyone becomes a "theatre person," recapturing the childlike exuberance of life without the daily social mask.

Neptune rules Pisces, and its energy is expressed through symbolic language, music and the imagination. It's a generational planet that guides the mythmaking of the culture at large. Neptune in fixed air Aquarius has been called "the flame of conscience," infusing this dreaminess with visions for humanity. The dark side of Neptune here is its potential for creating mass delusions. But this influential planet going direct also sets the stage for ingenious ideas that involve spirituality and technology -- new solutions that fulfill timeless needs of the spirit.
