Oprah the Oracle
Oprah has a "spell in her eyeballs," according to supermodel Heidi Klum, a guest on her show recently. That's why Klum made fresh comments about sizing up husband Seal in his bike shorts. "It is very strange, you trust her so much that you talk sometimes without realizing what you are saying," Klum later told People Magazine
Oprah's success comes from her ability to put people at ease, not just her guests, but all those at home watching, too. She's a multi-planet Aquarian, giving her a humanistic outlook, and reputation as an original thinker. Her Sadge Moon makes her prone to spontaneous bursts of enthusiasm, to the delight of her audiences. "Mama Oprah," as she's called, wants you to "Live your best life," but she won't judge when you fall short. She directs currents of ideas through her Book Club, lifting worthy ones out of the pile, and suddenly they're bestsellers. Her daily show is a near-global forum where ideas, sometimes progressive, are thoughtfully shared, and Oprah, up on the stage, has the last word.
Oprah's having a challenging week, what with the Mercury retrograde revelation of sexual abuse at the school she founded in South Africa. A small setback for such a powerful woman, a real woman with human frailties, but also a leader-healer-teacher for our time.
