Titanic Astrology

Monday November 19, 2007

It's been almost a century since the Titanic sank, but the true life story of history's most famous shipwreck still enchants and disturbs the collective imagination. In her book, Titanic Astrology, Eileen Grimes reveals the bigger cosmic picture, clues to which are found in all the charts linked to Titanic's mythic story -- from financiers and designers to passengers, all the way up in time to James Cameron -- and the intense planetary happenings during the voyage itself. Mercury was retrograde, and squaring Neptune, and Grimes exposes the trickster's role in missed communications and cloudy judgements. Other hard aspects with Neptune gave the God of the Sea a dark, transcendent power, with enough force to send the era's blind faith in progress to the murky depths.

Resarching over 1,200 charts, she honed in on the Titanic "astrological signature," one shared by most involved, and a poignant glimpse into the possibility of soul groups sharing archetypal events. She's currently pouring over charts for her next book, a study of the WTC tragedy. Grimes is an empathic Pisces, with a mystical connection to her subjects -- once even told that Captain E. J. Smith stood by her during a Titanic lecture. Grimes says Titanic's story lingers because it was a message directly from the heavens, a warning not to upset universal laws in the pursuit of technological advances. The quote she added from Titanic survivor Eva Hart seems to sum it up.

Move forward, yes, but if you scientists, engineers, and industrial geniuses do not finally learn how to temper wisdom, and to pay very close attention, then I'm afraid there will be an even bigger Titanic in your future -- for the entire world, maybe. And next time there may be no lifeboats -- for anybody.
