Full Moon in Cancer

Follow me on:

When the Moon is halfway illuminated, it forms a square to the Sun, making it a time to persevere with what you set in motion at the New Moon. Known as the First Quarter or Half Moon, the equal light and dark is a symbolic reminder to keep rebalancing yourself on the path of growth.

The waxing Half Moon makes powerful aspects to many planets, with other mutable and water signs in abundance. Intense emotions are brought out through both friction (squares) and flow (trines). It's a time to see through illusions that keep you in reacting mode, hold you back, or estrange you from others. Insights that are triggered find resolution at the full Moon in Cancer (Exact on Dec. 23rd at 8:16 pm EST).

Your writing style is absolutely fantastic. I really enjoy reading the articles you write. Where did you amass so much insight into Astrology? I really feel you are in touch with the cosmos and a true expert on the subject of Astrological forecasts. Can you recommend any good books or resources so that I can learn more about Astrology at an intermediate level?

Sincerely

Hello Gimel,
It’s always nice to get such positive feedback. I’ve studied astrology for about ten years, and came to its symbols and patterns through the Tarot. I was lucky to have access to a comprehensive library of astrology books for many years while I was a full time Tarot reader. Astrodienst has articles by recognized luminaries in the field like Liz Green and Robert Hand. You might like to read Stephen Arroyo’s books, and online, I recommend Cafe Astrology for the beginner looking for more intermediate content.
My plans are for this site to be a resource for all levels, but it is in its ‘new Moon’ phase of being built up. So, stay tuned….and let me know if you have suggestions via email.
best,
Molly
