Spills and Splatters

Saturday July 19, 2008

When Uranus transits a planet or house, it can cause liberating surges that free up the potential locked inside. But as I wrote in channeling Uranus, having this shaker upper in the First House, has led me to take flying leaps before looking. Now I'm more cautious, but still experiencing absurd numbers of little accidents, dropping glasses and a few months ago, shattering a whole six-pack of Becks in the grocery store.

We've had a tense few days in our household, trying to present what my Virgo husband calls "showroom" level clean to my Mom, the weekend visitor. There's been a ridiculous number of spills, culminating yesterday in a coffee disaster on a white shirt, and Thai noodle splattering at dinner. With Uranus in Pisces, an effluent water sign, it's easy to see a trend of spewing, unpredictable liquids. And that it's part of dynamic energy cracking me up, sometimes altering my Look. The Virgo had me explain these stains to everyone we saw. But luckily, Mom was not hyper-critical, and we had a great time anyway.

As a Pisces rising, I'm already drawn to the spritzing area of the produce section, and love misters, Evian sprays and humid weather. With these spills and splatters, it's the energy itself, not the actual events, that Uranus is triggering. But when it comes to transits, I find it better to take the attitude of Kahlil Gibran, my favorite mystic writer. "Say not, 'I have found the truth,' but rather, 'I have found a truth.'" What kind of geysers, spillage, spewing, flooding, etc, is Uranus causing in your life. Have any dams broken open?
