Sun into Leo
After the Sun has shined on the nest and family (Cancer), the move today into Leo inspires outbursts of creativity, social drama and celebrations. This fixed, fire sign is warm and generous and doesn't question its value in the world. That natural confidence and right to be gives this Sun-ruled sign a foundation for success, leadership and self-expression. Like the Lion, Leo has dignity, and more often than not, big or notably coiffed hair. The king of the jungle is a respected, dominant, at times over-bearing presence, on the stage, in the work place, at home, in friendships and in love.
Flaming red-haired Leo Lucille Ball was quoted as saying, "Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world." Make this a month of celebrating what's unique about You. Find ways to tap into that thing kids have -- that freedom to play and demand attention. Add color to your Look. Treat yourself to a little luxury item (like a pouch of bath salts). Express what's in your heart and have fun in a big, over-the-top way. Happy Birthday to Leo!

I just finished reading Do You by Russell Simmons (Hip Hop Mogul and Phat Farm- if there’s anyone who didn’t know his name) and he says that is the #1 way to succeed. By putting out what is uniquely you. Wonder if he’s a Leo?
That reminds me of an interview I heard with director John Waters the other day. He likes to create characters that stand out in some way, even if freakishly, and exaggerate that quality. So, they win in the end, for celebrating who they are, no matter how different from the norm.
I haven’t heard of Russell Simmons, but ‘Do You’ is good advice.
