Naturally Erotic
Venus has joined Mars in Virgo, and together they set a love-sex mood of earthy, refined pleasures. Virgo's symbol is the Virgin, meaning whole unto Herself (or Himself), giving this sign an air of self-containment. Last year, I wrote about Catherine Deneuve's idea of what's sexy. She's a Venus in Virgo that believes artful covering up goes further than putting all the goodies out there. It's the slow reveal, and the promise of a rare invitation to the body-as-a-temple kept pure and clean. It's the smell of soap with a hint of lavender.
There's a critical eye on relationships now, which could go overboard with harping about what's wrong. But the Virgo quest for perfection can also lead to analyzing little problems, and in resolving them, bring more ease to daily life. Virgo might be modest in some ways, but it's also a tactile, physically flexible sign, and that opens the door for more real satisfaction in the bedroom.
Venus in Virgo through the 30th puts the possibility out there of meeting someone through work, or at the gym. Friendships form now because you do stuff together, slowly forming a bond day-by-day. This Venus brings out the naturalist, and it seems fitting that Greenpeace is asking for video clips of sensuality in nature, as reported in this Telegraph UK article. The idea was inspired by a mega-hit collage of sex scenes to celebrate European cinema. By encouraging people to show love to nature, in an erotic way, Greenpeace hopes to turn the heads of the EU leaders, so they'll consider a ban on imported timber. Good timing for an al fresco moment of intimacy with the beauty of nature. While Venus is in Virgo, you might like to....make new friends through volunteering, get to know someone at work better, build community, try aromatherapy, let go of a toxic relationship, speak up about what you like in bed, join friends in the sauna, go back to your natural hair color, show love to your body.

since i am studying astrology for only 2 years, for me, its just a start to the beginning, my first reaction when i was reading about the subject, was to know if i could let believe or not by my intuition and what i feel about each sign of the complex zodiac. About virgo, i have a virgo friend since i was a child, and last month a gave her the oportunity to start fresh, working for me, i couldnt have done better… I always think virgos as my hand without having it, they look for the finest details in whatever they are doing, but there is something that they never, NEVER show, and this thing, makes me crazy whe i try to guess, maybe its their perfection ideia of making thinks perfectly that causes me confusing, thats why i thought this venus in virgo would be a boring theme for the end of the season, but, i felt the oposite. i can see “clearly” or almost, what makes me want a perfect candidate for my needs, and conversation with my coo-workers seems to have a natural tendecy of knowing each one better before leaving them the hard tasks. This gave me a boost for my analizys, my everyday life “corners” experiences, since mars in still virgo. i am a natural critical, but the skys these days are making me more and more seriously critical than usual.
My sister, she has a virgo rising, perfection is almost clearly visable by only looking at her face and hands expression, but her sun, is in aries, a powerful combination, i could never get along with her for more than 3 hours, and then, we start a violence exchange of vocabulary.
Molly, what are your mercury sign and your third house sign? i am so curious…
Hi Rafael,
You described a great way to add more insights to what you know. Having a foundation, and then using your own intuition/first hand experiences to see how it’s true (or not) for you. That’s important when reading other people’s interpretations of a sign, because everybody experiences these energies from their anchor of knowing.
My Mercury is in Cancer and was natally retrograde. Always had a hard time thinking in a linear way, but I’ve found the strengths of it all these years later, and am clear in a way that works for me. my 3rd house sign is gemini and my moon is in that house.
I’ve learned a lot about Virgo (with husband a five planet Virgoan), and have a deep appreciation for the drive to serve, heal and improve. as a cancer, too, it’s not always easy to make the connection, since we bond through emotion. That’s a cool thing that astro has taught me…how to accept the different ways people express themselves. And not to judge or try to get emotion from a stone…..or need people to be someone they’re not.
what is the relation between astrology and sexual orientation, which planets change your orientation.
good question, but I have no answer for you. It’s something I’d like to research more.
Here’s an interesting article I found by Antonin Alli, on astrology and sexuality….and it includes sexual orientation.

on a superficial note, i’ve noticed through direct observation that those with gemini in their charts, being more bisexual, with less of a fixed gender identity. But I believe sexual orientation is embedded in the soul and soul mission, and comes in many astrological packages, and expressed in many ways.
If I find out something for you, like a trend with aspects, I’ll let you know!
