Unreality Shows

This week starts with the Harvest Moon, (exact on the 15th at 5:13 am EDT). What will we be reaping? The election game and strange weather has made things seem warped and waterlogged. Uranus brings Pisces-mystical surprises that awaken us, but can also wrap us in more emotion-driven delusion. Most people I know have a sense of anticipation, like something is going to happen. And their hope or lack of it, may mutate many times a day, depending on what reality show they tune into.

Lately, I've been thinking about reality, and how chasms are opening that expose vast divides between what people think is real. This week, I stared into the gaping maw that exists in America, when talking to some local news gatherers. My take on things was met with blank stares. I had the personal epiphany that I left my job as a reporter with Associated Press as Pluto went into Sagittarius, out of a longing to connect the dots. In astrology, I find a way to look at trends over time, and make sense of the cosmic forces at play. These days, it's a risky business to state reality as you see it sometimes. And it's hard to make out a big picture in the chaos information and dis-information. Here at the tail end of the Pluto cycle, I'm experiencing a bewildering awakening. It's exhilarating to reach that other side, even as I know there are veils behind veils to be explored. I'm sure others are experiencing this too, since it's so clearly gaining momentum in the collective.

I believe that gift of awakening is there for each person, at this critical crossroads for humanity. This full Moon in Pisces, a sign of the transcendent heart, is a chance to choose love over fear.
