Gemini & Sagittarius
Gemini and Sagittarius go together like two butterflies. As a Sadge Moon friend said, just watch them fly, they have moments of graceful soaring, but most of the time they're flying chaotically. It's the fluttering every which way that keeps them aloft. A relationship between two mutable signs grows stronger when each knows they can be contradictory, and changeable. Over time, you make out the vague boundaries of a Self constantly in flux...and that's the loose, not-to-be-grasped-too-tightly, Self in relationship.
The polarity is in play in this interview on The Colbert Report between Gemini Daniel Pinchbeck (author of 2012: Return of Quetzaquatl) and Sagittarius Steve Colbert from 2006. Pinchbeck is a child of the sixties, a part of the Pluto in Virgo generation (born in 1966). He's like a spokesperson for the era revisited by Pluto Virgo. He's an advocate of psychedelics, but only when used in a grounded way, in moderation (Virgo) for healing and expansion of consciousness. To me, Pinchbeck embodies why Gemini has been called the sign of the future. He talks about the synthesis of two awarenesses -- the scientific-logical mind with the intuitive-shamanic. I like to play both sides...what am I supposed to do, says Pinchbeck, to which Colbert calls him a spiritual flip-flopper. Gemini and Sagittarius make each other laugh. Their easy rapport comes from keeping a light hold on 'reality,' and always willing to laugh at the absurdity of life itself.
