Moon Day Spiraling
I'm always looking for inspiration, and when I find it, I like to share it with readers. That's why I'm starting this Monday Moon Day spiraling, to feature writings that put today's upheavals into cosmic perspective. With its waxing and waning, the Moon has always been a symbol of eternal change. Christine Page, author of the new book 2012 and the Galactic Center: The Return of the Great Mother, looks to the Moon for profound messages about death/rebirth, cycles of transformation, relationships and remembering our eternal nature. The kinds of writings I'll be posting come from this awareness of the natural rhythm that sends us spiraling in and out of the Source.
Page calls what we're going through a dissolution, rather than an evolution. It's like a long (30 years since the Harmonic Convergence) dark Moon phase, when the old must fall to make way for the new. Years ago her own mentor told her that everyone alive today has prepared many lifetimes for this moment. She writes, Each soul has been given a unique part of the jigsaw puzzle which, when brought together with all other parts, will create the fullness of our future. Your astrological birth chart has clues to making the most of that uniqueness.
The mind wants to figure it all out, but Page, a medical doctor, says look first to the wisdom of the body and the heart. While the intellect will look for a list of things to do, the heart will be fed by all the wisdom it needs. The Egyptians considered the heart a stargate, a portal through which you could travel to the heart of the universe. Page and other 2012 scholars say our access to the ocean of possibility right now, allows us to quickly burn away the karma of many lives, and manifest our dreams more easily. The experience of the next few years will mirror your own consciousness, which is why it's so important to let go of negativity and fear.
Thanks to astrologer Judy Goldberg, who sent me the Thanksgiving newsletter of medical intuitive Carolyn Myss. She writes about all the years so many of us have been working on ourselves, as a prelude to this moment. What you did to lift yourself up, you did to the whole, too. As the illusion that we're separate starts to fade, we can see more clearly that caring for our mind-body-spirit, is caring for the planet. Writes Myss, To put this in yet a more mystical context, if you thought of yourself as a “living prayer,” which in essence you are, then all your intentions and thoughts to become a whole and healthy person are consumed by the collective soul as well as your individual soul.
Finally, I'd like to let everyone know that the interview on Conscious Media Network with Jessica Murray is now available to view for free. Always wise and at times funny (you can tell she used to be in theatre!), shares her take on America's sick soul, and how we can heal our broken nation, and take control of our destiny as citizens. I'd love to hear from you if you've found an up-lifting article, newsletter or have your own inspirations to share.
