Venus in Pisces

Saturday January 3, 2009

Venus moves into Pisces today, under a restless sky, and the Earth rumbling beneath us in some places. The sensitivity of Venus in Pisces adds color and depth to all this raw emotion surging. The Moon is waxing this weekend with the Half-Moon in urgent Aries, with tensions to Pluto, Mars and the Sun. If you're agro, it's likely to be passionate and enveloping. And the tender moods can bring on the moist eyes and make your heart feel full to breaking.

The last sign, the watery, feeling Pisces, is known for seeing the best in people and situations. And it's an empathic one that swims in the collective waters. With all the edgy emoting, it's easy to get absorbed in someone else's drama, or soak up bad vibes while out and about. Venus is about creativity, and in Pisces, all the nuances of the human experience can be elevated to the sublime. And there's an everyday art to staying open-hearted about it all, without being submerged by it.

Tips for making the most of Venus in Pisces: Dive into your imagination with your art; seek out culture that elevates your spirit; take lots of baths or soak in the hot tub; write a heartfelt letter to an old friend; watch a tear-jearker; enter the world of a vividly written book; add the occasional siesta to your afternoon; visit the ocean; walk in an area of natural beauty; escape into the Neptunian dark of the cinema; participate in a global meditation for peace, or focus your heart on a troubled area; forgive yourself or another; have a good cry; show compassion to someone that's struggling; nurture the love in your life.
