There's big interest in the May 4th crop circle, as possibly a magical evocation symbol, or sigil. Linda Moulton Howe writes about the Clatford Crop Circle in Wiltshire, UK -- See the Stunning Images Here -- at her site Earthfiles. She writes that a sigil is "usually made up of a complex combination of several specific symbols or geometric figures each with a specific meaning or intent. The term sigil derives from the Latin sigillum meaning 'seal,' though it may also be related to the Hebrew segulah meaning 'word, action or item of spiritual effect.'" In alchemy, sigils are used to draw in magical spirits or elementals, and work with them in the physical dimension.
Since it's on an undulating hill of 5-feet high yellow rapeseed plants, the full image can only be seen from above. Once you're in it, you only see what's in front of you. Seems an apt metaphor for the times, and Clif High of halfpasthuman sees it as a not a sigil, but a time map for the now-felt and quickly approaching 2012 alignment. That's when our Sun comes into alignment with the center of the galactic plane. Adding his two cents, George Ure of Urban Survival sees it as a diagram of our dimension intersecting with another, for the prophesied thinning of the veils between worlds. When the stargates and portals are opened, is that when we'll see the return of Jesus, the Mayan Serpent-deity Quetzalcoatl and our loved ones on the other side? Then there's the thing about starting to SEE interdimensional spirits -- the real angels and demons from other dimensions.
It's interesting that Angels and Demons is sure to be the summer blockbuster (opening May 15th). The trailer shows Tom Hanks as symbology professor Robert Langdon finding clues in what look to be sigils of the elementals -- air, wind, water and earth. As we ponder the enigma of crop circles, its symbolic language opens us up to an ancient knowing within ourselves. And just like clues in a thriller, perhaps we are getting "signs" through crops circles, strange events and movies that carry us where we need to be.
