Mars in Leo: Doing What You Love

The igniter Mars will be in Leo for the rest of the year, and I see this as a gift to those of us struggling with stagnation, depression, low energy and apathy. Mars in Leo reminds each of us that we've got star quality. It's an antidote to the epidemic of sameness that robs us of our unique identity. It's the pursuit of deep passions, not just tacking on superficial "flair" that's meant to satisfy our need for self-expression.
If you're in a job that's "not you," it's a good time to make bold moves toward work you love. It may be something you don't dare do. But Mars in Leo can embolden you to act on those impulses, and build on that momentum. Look to your personal history reaching back into childhood, for what made your heart sing and how you shined. It's shaking off the feeling of being an automaton or drone worker, and celebrating who you are as a one-of-a-kind individual. And as trend watcher Gerald Celente has forecasted, identifying what makes you unique is a key to surviving the coming changes.
The Moon is in Leo through Tuesday, making the mood lighter all around. What makes you feel happy? How can you bring more of that into your life? It's a simple thing, yet a gift we often don't give ourselves. You can start now, by being generous with yourself, and noticing what brings you joy. Then, finding a way to do that....

My moon is in Leo in my natal chart (so is my husband’s, which is kinda cool. We both are Virgo with Moon in Leo and it’s uncanny at times). Mars being in Leo for like, I think, the next eight months or so, has been hard for me to pinpoint. I didn’t know quite what it was bringing me. This post helps a lot!
Thinking about Mars in Leo, I realized that it probably is a big reason why my husband and I just finished our first co-written story and will “publish” one copy on lulu.com. We only want one because it’s our first year anniversary present to one another. You know that old tradition of “paper” on the first year?
We realized that one thing that makes us really happy is telling stories around the fireplace. I guess that means we are pursuing “what makes us unique.” We wanted to honor our fire side stories by making them real, tangible, and printing them out to sit on a small “family bookshelf.”
So in a few weeks, I’ll be able to hold our little book in my hands. This new view of writing has redefined my idea of what makes an author. Getting smaller — getting intimate with my craft — has been a transformational high point. I think Mars in Leo has definitely helped me push this to completion this week.
And I imagine this is also what Saturn has left (it was sure earned!) as my First House Gift at the door.
Fiona, I see the writer in your with your comments, and thank you for sharing such a wonderfully personal creative experience. For me, it paints a romantic picture to imagine a young couple by the fireside telling stories. And yes, to create a tangible book of writing…weaving your own tales is such a fine mastery of those Leo-Virgo energies. I love it!
