What will you do on 11-11-11? It's visually neat looking, and it's symbolically rich, for harnessing your focus.
Elizabeth Jones of Astrology of Light writes that 11 is a master number of illumination. "11:11:11 is opening a portal to the dynamic energies of 2012. What you focus upon and experience at this time will initiate a process, setting you upon a path, that will align you with your Souls intention this lifetime."
There's a symbolic link to the constellation Gemini, the Twins, here, since visually it most looks like eleven. Gemini's Twins, known by the Greek as the Dioscuri, are almost joined, and in myth, one is Castor (mortal) and one is Pollux (immortal).
The story goes that Castor was killed, and the grief-stricken Pollux begged Zeus to bring him back to life. Zeus agreed, but Pollux had to give up his immortality, and experience death. After that, both Castor and Pollux moved through the earthly and eternal worlds, with the power of a go-between, or what Buddhist monk Tich Nat Hahn calls interbeing -- the interplay between Form and the Void .(1)
Jones writes that eleven represents the "World of Spirit and the World of Matter, and more specifically the constant exchange of energy that exists between these worlds and is symbolically represented in the space between the "1's" of the number eleven."
Each of us has that ability to go-between, and draw on the wisdom of the soul, or eternal self that exists in many worlds. It can bring you back to that dialogue, if you've gotten wrapped up in worldly goals, and feel spiritually lost. I learn time and again, that if I put my own spiritual growth first, not making money or writing a great play, I come back into alignment. If the date 11:11:11 feels powerful for you, ask for guidance to feel the comfort of being aligned with your soul's purpose. The human imagination is our most powerful tool, and Jones' tip for focusing twice a day -- at 11:11 am and 11:11 pm into 2012, is sure to work some magic.
