"It's in the hearts of you and I that the Revolution of our time begins," writes 2012 author Mark Borax. His latest Cosmic Weather Report called 2012: Flight of the Dragon gave me a lift today. It's a balm for the weary soul, and encouragement to rise above "the mediocrity and complacency of our own lives, and glimpse a magical future beyond." Mark doesn't deny the darkness that's around us, but has a way of putting 2012 in an inspired context. And it's refreshing to hear him on cultivating our unique genius as just as vital as this oneness that a lot of people talk about lately.
For New Year's inspiration, I also heartily recommend 2012 Time for Change, which I just saw via Netflix streaming. It's a personal narrative, by author Daniel Pinchbeck, of the journey to understand this time we're living in. He talks to Sting about taking Ayahuasca and its urgent messages about being stewards of the Earth, and to actress Ellen Page about permaculture, and many others alert and aware to the moment. All the stories of seekers and practical innovators make it a film that stokes that will to rise to meet the challenges we face.
Mark writes, "The greatest distortions of our time are that love can't happen, goons rule the world, and the future is bleak. The secret truth of our time is that a world-changing spirit force sleeps in the soul of every man, woman and child. Once this force awakens en masse nothing can stop it." I hope you encounter many things that awaken your own spirit force in 2012. Happy New Year to you all!

As I may have mentioned at some point, I also found Daniel Pinchbeck’s film to be quite inspiring when I saw it a couple of months ago. I have to say that it was good to read a Cosmic Weather Report that lights a candle in what has seemed, at best, a murky time.
May this New Year be one of inspiration, empowerment, and glorious synchroncity for you.
My personal 2012 dream is one of Metamorphosis of My Body in all its physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects. Since my Saturn Half Return, I have come to see just how much I have denied my body its rightful place in my consciousness. I know why and how and what has happened as a result and it is time to heal the connections that were severed by trauma (much as you mentioned in your reading).
That’s great to hear Mari – and thank you for the New Year’s wishes! I’m ready for some ‘glorious synchronicity’ and the other two you mentioned are right on. Yes, a murky time. I too am ready to metamorphose and appreciated what Mark wrote about women finding their courage. I’m grateful you shared your thoughts here Mari. The idea of metamorphoses makes me think of this often whipped out quote from Richard Bach: “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” Your being able to commit to that growth inspires me to do the same.
