Well, here we are on this gold-star day, with the first of seven exact squares of Uranus to Pluto. It quickens this time (to 2015) at the crossroads, and that's the title of Jessica Murray's book, At the Crossroads. Her astrological prose is very original and alive, and in that way, she demonstrates how to be an alert observer with many intelligences in play. Her writing invites the reader to walk this rare path too, to seek their own meaning. To stay conscious and resist the all-too powerful pull to zone out or lose confidence that clarity can even be achieved. To build up perceptual endurance for these dynamic years.
Jessica notes that the Uranus-Pluto square is a gift of momentum and real change. This is divinely orchestrated, and provokes us out of our complacency, settling for less, passivity and stagnation.
The bright side is with cardinal energies Aries and Capricorn, there's decisiveness. If something is falling apart, it's going to be blatantly clear that it's not structurally sound, or part of the future. This makes it easier (relatively) to let go. There's a stripping of what's dead, drained, toxic. In uncovering who we're not, we get closer to a self-sourced identity. And Uranus Aries is the rush of lifeforce that sees an opening and goes for it.
It's a cosmic kickstart for we humans, who tend to be creatures of habit and lovers of the familiar. Speaking of boosts, Jessica's publishing venture Mothersky Press has a Kickstarter campaign for the book, with a video of Jessica talking about the astrology of 2012. The cover comes with this message: "Warning: this book may contain astrology...and it is the most thoughtful, and fiercely intelligent perspective you will find anywhere."
