Elizabeth McGovern has always struck me as a kind soul, and I've enjoyed watching her play Lady Grantham on Downton Abbey. She's an emotionally expressive Cancer Sun (July 18th). McGovern is on my short list, to learn she took up guitar at 40, and played June 23rd on the main stage at the Isle of Wight Festival. McGovern, now 50, played with Big Country after performing on a smaller stage with her own band Sadie and the Hot Heads.
She's "Sadie," and its notable that her Venus is in Gemini, a sign that creates and plays with personae. She told Express UK, "By creating Sadie I could become this other character who was confident enough to sing. I'm not trying to impress anybody, I don't have anything to impress anybody with. I'm not musically gifted. I'm not particularly talented but I have something to say, which is my life experience."
That last quote is so illustrative of the Sun-Neptune trine, and McGovern's Mercury (Cancer) was with the cosmic muse during her performance, aligned with the trine. I like that she's humble, while giving value to her own life experience. We all have something to say from our own life experience, and it's never to late to find new ways to say it.
