To my mind, there's a sense of needing to be alert and ready for anything -- these are demanding times! Can't remember where I read it just now, but it's not a time to "tune in, drop out." But this week finds us with several octaves of love (Venus and Neptune) harmonizing, for a blissed out atmosphere. Love can dissolve fear or sense of isolation this week, in unexpected ways.
Lover Venus gets homey in water sign Cancer starting Tuesday. The need to belong, and desire to be part of a cozy circle, is strong. Venus Cancer is cocooning or nesting, small intimate gatherings, comfort, a family feeling. Love for life is expressed with great feeling.
Your Cancer house (where Cancer is on the cusp) will host Venus to September 7th. This is where Venus is sensitive and emotionally forceful, and craves profoundly close connection.
By Thursday (August 9th), Venus and its higher octave Neptune trine (harmonize) at 2 degrees (Cancer-Pisces). It's water world, for overwhelming waves of emotion that make each of us feel more empathy, a need to protect the vulnerable -- what makes us human.
It's a gold star week to put emotional nuance into whatever you're working on. Intuition is keen, and it's possible to experience miracles of forgiveness, release (of old wounds and connections) and family-size healing. There can also be a strong desire to escape reality -- look for ways to share what's in your heart and soul.
The headline for the week is Mercury direct (in Leo) at 1 degree. This happens at mid-week (Wednesday, August 8th) and the day of stationing direct can bring significant events -- be watchful for serendipity. Mercury will be in direct shadow, going over the "retrograde degrees" until August 22nd at 12 degrees Leo.
The epiphanies start to really pop out with more clarity, as Mercury gains momentum, and finally hits those fresh degrees. It's critical, to my way of thinking, to nourish the spirit this week especially, with images, music, and inner thoughts, that elevate, not degrade or demoralize. It's an impressionable week, so make sure you choose worthy soul food and company.
