September 11th as Dark Initiation

"Whenever you have truth it must be given with love, or the message and the messenger will be rejected." Gandhi

It's the 11th anniversary of September 11th, and I notice, it's also on a Tuesday this year. For those of us taking the road less traveled, it can be a day of reflecting on the magnitude of what's been lost. And a sense of desolation at what it set in motion. For September 11th was merely the big bang, a malevolent orchestration and cover-up that continues to infect all that it touches.

And yet, this year I personally feel more at peace, and less traumatized, though there is sadness for sure. I wrote about 9/11 as an initiation recently in an article called Witness on the Scream Machine. It's true what "they" say, that everything's changed since 9/11. A veil of illusion was ripped open, and there's no going back to being unaware, or in the dark about shadow realities. The light shining in dark places adds perceptual depth -- we see with night vision, like the owl.

I foresee more catharsis and healing, as Saturn moves into emotionally fearless Scorpio (October 5th). If we're lucky, Saturn in Scorpio will show us how to exorcise demonic energies, and where there's more to uncover, to get to what's festering and extract the poison.

With Scorpio, the poison is the cure, and we grow strong enough to face dark forces that are so powerful today. It begins with facing our own demons, with the healing light of awareness.

May this day, known now as Patriot's Day in America, be one of remembering that urgent love that is sharpened in our last moments. And that even the darkest, most 'evil' doings serve a purpose, as we grow in stature to meet it. Maybe on a future September 11th, we'll claim that global moment of silence out of the fabric of time, that was an unprecedented moment for the human family after 9/11. Much love to you, however you mark the day (or not).

I love this! Thank you for saying what so many people want to and hopefully illuminating the reality of the situation for others. <3

Thank you for speaking up Ariella. I know it can feel like a dangerous, buried topic for many reasons.

I feel down today, and with each year, I see more taking the risk to give voice to what’s been held back.

I’m wondering if Saturn (Scorp) as it trines Neptune (Pisces) through October, will bring on a renaissance of profound art, music and story — the kind we need to truly reflect what happened eleven years ago.

This quote came to mind today.

“All suffering is bearable if it is seen as part of a story.” Isak Dinesen

Thanks again Ariella, and be well!

I love that quote! Hopefully, this will be the part of the story that leads to more and more enlightenment about our imprisonment within this society/structure.

I think we are realizing, as a collective, just how deep our wounds are, and that we must feel that hurt until it goes away. And from pain is always the possibility of profound art, music and story. So I certainly hope this astrological situation helps roll it out! :)
