Aries Full Moon: Birth of a Star

It's time for a critical mass squeeze and birth push. Some are experiencing a between-two-worlds sense this week. The energies are building with the Aries Full Moon (Sept 29th). The stars are aligning for each of us to overcome fear, the weight of the past and stagnation and be reborn as a super star in the center of our lives -- and by doing so, impact others exponentially.

There's a strong underworld Plutonian churning, with Mars in Scorpio (ruled by Pluto) forming a square to Venus (Leo). This adds to the life or death ultimatum -- that something has to be deeply purged or transformed -- to be able to emerge as a new being.

This intensity can draw us into dramas, and Venus-Mars square in these willful fixed signs already creates an internal showdown of sorts. The volatility of the moment can take us to dark places, on the way through to something new. Can you make art with all that's raw and dangerous? It plays wise to me, to look at ways to support the birth now, by fiercely protecting the emerging vision. Sometimes Full Moons are busy and manic -- what about being feverishly active making a vision board?

What can be squeezed out? What deeper currents (fears and desires) motivate our actions? How does the primal instinct for survival or to wield power (Mars Scorpio) override the natural desire to be generous, sunny, and share who we are (Venus Leo)? I've been getting the Death and Tower cards a lot lately. And though change on this magnitude is unnerving, it's about shedding a skin, for an experience of being reborn, as more of who we really are.

This image is of a nebula, where stars are born. Stellar nebula, astronomers tell us, is where gas and dust swirl. And if met with gravity of a passing star, there's critical mass needed to birth a star.
