In the interview yesterday on Navigating the Astrological Matrix, I mentioned that the Yod formation on Winter Solstice, is like an eye of the needle. Jupiter Gemini is the beacon, with a kind of "go toward the light" message. It's a leap of faith moment that takes us far if we have our minds and hearts open. This light is only visible, though, when we get leverage from the heavy baggage of 'what's always been.' As I wrote in 2012 and Initiation, it's about the power to choose, something new, in the spontaneous moment.
I like this from Melody Scott Zindell, "This New Moon is 9 days ahead of, and connected to, the December 21, 2012 Solstice, end of the Mayan 13th Baktun cycle (5125 years which x5 is the precessional cycle), and Time Zero according to Terrence McKenna. It does feel like the compression gets stronger daily, as if anything that cannot go with us into this new cycle is being squeezed out. Where we are still unconscious of beliefs that may have to be left behind, or maybe not moving quickly enough towards release, life is forcing the issue and it hasn't been easy lately. What do we need to start fresh with the new beginning that awaits us?"
I've really felt that big squeeze, which is a blessing in disguise as Melody makes clear. It's been like a spiritual purgative, and at times, messy, disturbing and even bringing on a crisis of faith. I see it as a trailing of the Mercury retrograde, which will release to fresh degrees this weekend (Dec 15th). Together with the New Moon in bright-minded Sagittarius, let's welcome the catharsis that comes with such deep psychic cauldron stirring.
This is a Jupiter-kissed New Moon, and now we have nine days to solstice, when the Sun is reborn. Mercury's higher octave Uranus is also going direct, and this is super stimulating -- great for collaborating with like minds. A worthy focus, then, is to continue clearing, to create an atmosphere for a bounty of choice. Some Suggestions:
- Take another look at what meditation is, and having times of meditative "doing" during the day -- See this: Meditation is Simple
- Break the iron grip of seriousness with laughter. Take time for light socializing, to boost your spirits.
- Give yourself a break, let go of what's NOT in your control.
- Go on periodic media fasts.
- Take a less is more approach with emails and blog posts to free up mental space (and time).
