"To Love and Be Loved" — Love is Portal to Astrology

By January 16, 2013

Follow me on:

I saw a movie called Birdsong last night that really moved me. It's partly a World War I drama, with a passionate love story, too. A rough-looking character with a gentle spirit called Jack Firebrace (played by Aries actor Joseph Mawle) says at one point, that "to love and be loved" ...what else is there? It's a film that shows different expressions of love -- between men in dire situations, the passionate kind and that of parent for his or her child.

So to go with the flow of this year's big swells -- a surge of emotionality -- I'm putting love first. For many, the quest for love is the doorway to astrology in the first place, and some go further with it. The mysteries of love chemistry is revelatory for the self, and astrology becomes a language through which to "know thyself."

With Saturn in water sign Scorpio, the toughest planetary teacher urges self-knowledge and empowerment, to break out of toxic relationships. The trine to Neptune (Pisces) eases the path to forgiveness, and compassion for "the shadow" material that surfaces. This can be a miraculous year for love -- for the healing of old wounds with strong medicine.

Thanks Molly, it’s been a powerful beginning to the year in this respect already, for some of us…. incredible, the depths that there are to live & discover through ‘love’ relationships. I found the most profound truth of my life so far through all the dysfunction, I do believe… Incredible.

Here’s to honoring & living this profound truth, of love, & the essence of life itself, without all the drama from now on.

May we all find the steady & consistent pathways for love & connection that we seek, deep down… both within & without.

Pisces here, trying to hold down the center as you’ve written before ;) (love that, resonate with it)

xoxoxo!!

Beautifully said, Melanie. There’s definitely a silver lining to all the intensity, last year was so rough for a lot of people. This year feels like release, deep healing and the magic of that coming through in many ways.
