
Usually I talk with Susan Miller this time of year about the career outlook. Her base is New York City, a whole different scene and she has her finger on the big city pulse. Being left to my own devices -- this seems to be a trend -- I thought I'd offer a tip, about something which I'm involved in personally. There's a revolution (complete with skirmishes large and small) happening with food. And a real grassroots phenomenon is springing up, responding to a demand for wholesome eats.
The door is open for innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, in this area that's resulting in a slow, steady rearranging of grocery stores everywhere. It's a sign of the Uranus-Pluto square times, and a potentially lucrative place for job searchers to look.
Organic farming and retailing is still considered a niche in the market, but it's growing by leaps and bounds. It's the fastest growing sector in the grocery store. It makes sense that there are jobs to go along with this boom.
