From Molly Hall:

Astrology is an ancient study that is re-emerging into the culture as a force to be reckoned with. The study of the light energies within yourself, and the universe, can remind us that we're part of something awe-inspiring. The patterns that astrology reveals can help you understand yourself and others. Astrological wisdom helps you make the most of your life, and put the darkness or trials into perspective.

Years ago, during my extended 'walkabout' in the hills of San Francisco, the words 'Enlighten and Enliven' came to mind, as part of my purpose. That's what I strive for with this site. That astrology becomes less about concepts, and more about a felt reality that you can use in your real life. The ancients tuned into the cosmic forces, and created symbolic language around them that are part of our spiritual heritage. That's why learning about astrology at any level makes you part of something timeless.
