Here's a summary and some excerpts from the talk by William Henry, a mythologist with a focus on stargates and 2012 (at the Unveiling 2012 Conference, Sarasota, Florida, October 2008). His words are in italics.
We are coming into awareness of the coming alignment of 2012, that is referred to as a cosmic cross, and also a sacred tree. This symbology appears in all the worlds spiritual religions. It reaches into the heavens and into the earth. Henry said this alignment will be felt in our bodies. We're all experiencing this 2012 alignment; we are the cosmic tree ourselves.
The Mayans talk about the serpent rope, which will emerge from the galactic center, and an enlightened being (or group of enlightened beings) will emerge. Henry said, according to John Major Jenkins, we can take this arcane Mayan term, and substitute the word wormhole. A worm hole is going to open at the center of the galaxy, and out of this, an enlightened being or new consciousness will emerge.
Henry mentions that Stephen Spielberg has a moving coming out in 2012 called Interstellar that will be all about traveling through wormholes in space. This follows what we're coming into awareness of at this time. That these stargates are a way to travel through space and time, to become immortal. We know the role that St. Stephen plays in our consciousness...he introduces us to concepts like ET and Back to the Future. So let's just talk about a tremendously inspiring film that plugs us into this awareness.
Henry talks about a panel on 2013 that he attended (the day after the panel on 2012), and his stream-of-consciousness reflection in his hotel room there near the L.A. airport. He started thinking of 2012 as a wormhole or gate, like a door.
I'm looking at the door of my hotel room and there's a cross on the door (it's the hotel emergency exit layout)....and I'm thinking why is that cross there. It's the emergency exit! And isn't that interesting, because it says in case of fire, avoid the elevator and take the stairs. Some of these guys...talking about 2012 say, well, there goes the Earth, like a big cosmic puke bag or something.
They talk about these catacalysmic earth changes, and fire coming down from heaven and zapping us, and I'm thinking...this is kind of synchronistic in a way. And it says, in case of fire, don't take the elevator, take the stairs. But if the fire is inside me, who am i going to call if it gets too much. Who is at the other end of cosmic 911 for me? What is your emergency exit plan? If this whole thing falls apart, what are you going to do?
What is your emergency exit strategy? And I went further and said, you know the convenient thing about this door is that it had a little peephole. What's coming down the pike in the next few years? How can I learn to bring these new vibrations into my being and uplift myself? And where are those stairs anyway? I try to help people look through the peephole and try to see where we're going with this.
As I went further with this, I noticed there were actually two doors. You had the mirror closet door, which is where too many people are standing. They're in front of the mirror saying, 'Wow, look at me.' That's where too many people live. They think that this world of Maya or illusion that we live in is all that there is.
We've gotta look through that peephole and then get our hand on that handle, and open that gate. Who's going to open that door, and what's on the other side? Chances are, what's on the other side is the starry realm, which is where we came from. St. Frances of Assisi said that what we are looking for is what is looking, and what we're going to find is ourselves. We might find a wormhole, or stargate consciousness, the consciousness of the heart, the connector of all things...the idea that you can go from star to star to star.
We want to open our heart and receive the blessings of our higher self. Even Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, I am the door." That door is within you. We're talking about a consciousness that is within you, within me, a consciousness that we all want to be connecting with right now. We want to saturate ourselves with the image of the doors, the gate and how we connect with our higher self.

We've all got guides such as this that are beaming to us the highest energy right now, and if we become sensitive to this, we can tune into it, we can receive many blessings, messages as a result. Gilgamesh, in his a quest for immortality, is told by a goddess that he's two-thirds divine and one-third human. The only way he's going to get through the door is to become whole, holy, 360, complete, to have the highest vibe possible running through his body. We're all Gilgamesh. We're looking to cleanse and purify ourselves to become whole or holy beings.
Henry then talks about how "comedians" Penn and Teller wanted to come and interview them for their show, which is called, "That's Bullshit." They basically wanted to rip the speakers a new one, says Henry. And they think anything that is about elevating consciousness -- like awareness of conspiracies, even recycling, is bullshit. We need a new show. Henry puts up this sign that says Holy shit! Holy Shit! It's all holy shit right now. You watch what's happening in the news and all you can say is, Holy Shit! I'm out of that fish bowl and I'm heading right for the galactic center, and at the same time, I'm thinking, Holy shit! what am i going to do? Where's my wings, how am i going to get there?
