Editor's Note: My recent talk with Adam Gainsburg of Soulsign Astrology was more a conversation than a Q & A. Here are some highlights from that talk that covered so much ground and cosmos, it's hard to put into words. Stay tuned for more insights from Adam, as the talks continue.
These are all excerpted quotes from Adam Gainburg:On His Astrology & Healing Practice
I’m in a very strange position because I don’t offer astrology or healing or Breath of the Soul in person because I find being with them in their physical presence is distracting to me. What I now do is over the phone or Skype.
I’m wired to be able to pick up what’s happening in their subtle body. And I focus on why they're there. They’re for one reason, to take their next step, or make a major advancement toward making their next step in life.On Taking the Sky Back
What we call astrology today is going to become something for archives in the next 200 years. In the next short while, what we call astrology won’t be used except to study the past.
More and more people are becoming more aligned to their own cycle, without one finger raised to learn about taking the sky back. Individuals are taking the sky back into their knowings about how to live in balance. There may be those who hear about the New Astrology, and they’ll seek out the teachers, techniques….but ultimately, it’s the map, it’s not the terrain itself. On “What’s changing”?
I attribute it to one thing that has two parts. When system change happens, there is crisis of change, if the individual or native (could be a company), is not functioning in a balanced way, number 1. And number 2, is not in harmony with its operating environment. There are epic changes when there's an undercutting for that native, that's deeper than that operating level. It's an earthquake in their structure.
For example, I’m living with Saturn as an ally, (with an aspect to the Moon), so when Saturn transits happen, I’m with it. However, if I haven’t made allies with it, and here comes a Saturn transit, I’m going to keep repeating the pattern of creating something uninformed by what’s around me. So I have to fit better into the larger structure. But if I learn the structure, I can adapt.
So when I start a new business and everything that goes with it -- how I run my business, who I hire, what I call it, where I spend money, how large should the advertising vs. operations budgets be -- all those fundamental choices are now informed by my Saturn learning from the past.
From the top down view, in the grand scheme of life, where the 26,000 processional cycle is one blip, larger cycles playing out that our astrology literally cannot touch. It's too vast, too cosmic with a K. We’re a race, that when we wake up, we wake up to how we've lived as a little race. And our astrology reflects that.On Sound Healing:
When you go non-verbal, sound carries so much information. The first thing I try to teach my sound students, whether singing toning or making gutteral sounds, stacatto one note sound, with a group, in nature, in lovemaking, or healing someone with sound.....
It’s not the sound itself that does the healing, it’s the intention. Soundwaves disrupt molecules. Sound is wave, intention is golden divine consciousness. On Synodic Cycles
In astrology these days, we’ve so dissected each aspect and its interpretation, that we’ve forgotten that an aspect is a larger snapshot in a synodic cycle. So synodic, is getting into the cycles of the thing.
An aspect can be read in the cycle in which it’s occurring. Aspects are a snapshot within a cycle. What you start to see is that the chart is an intersect of all these different cycles meeting at a certain point.
