My Cancerian Dad was the family storyteller, and his vivid memory linked us back in time to the Civil War. I'm glad I got to record his stories, since true to the Moonchild, he told them with a lot of emotional gravitas.
It's a good month for family reunions, or to visit a long lost relative. It's also timely to meet someone who was close to a loved one, to learn more via this relationship. An example might be talking to aunts and uncles, to find out what your grandmother was like -- the one you never met. It's like emotional research, based on interrelatedness, that tells more than just the facts of what happened, how things were in those days. It links us to people who've gone before -- their hopes, dreams, loves.
