Pondering some final thoughts....Will O.J. Simpson be remembered for his football greatness, or was that forever tarnished by the violent murders he committed? Although most wont believe that O.J. Simpson played a major part in the last 13 years of history, he has. A man who started out with nothing, then had everything, then went back to nothing is tragic and almost archetypal; because of his own personality problems, and history, he sabotoged everything he worked so hard to achieve. He flew close to the Sun, and fell back to earth again - as Icarus had done.
In the end, O.J. can only face himself and stop pointing fingers at others in blame. The real message is that although one can come up through the ranks further than they expected with an amazing force of will, and strength - they have to realize that getting there isnt a solitary process; it is collective. Those that surrounded him - his family, his friends, his fans, and yes, his wives -- all had a part in the ascension of Orenthal James Simpson.
Not to mention a little help from the forces in the universe. God did give him charisma, atheletic strength and a strong will. Add the support system, and there was nothing he couldnt do. When one is given such talent, one needs to realize that its not their own - they are really the steward of that talent, and its up to them to make the best use of it. The hardest part of O.J.s lesson was realizing that he, alone, was not the center of the known universe, and also realizing that he had a lot to be thankful for.
Society is always fascinated with those who rise to the top, then crash to the bottom - perhaps it gives a sense of righteousness, or perhaps realizing were all human and make mistakes, big or small. It seems that we face hubris at every turn; it is up to us to live our lives in the highest potential possible.
O.J. Simpson seemingly had it all, and for the most part lived a life most would envy: We hold our heroes up to some very stringent expectations - perhaps this was O.J.s achilles heel - no matter where he went, all he could do was go down. No matter how high we put our heroes, at some point they fall.
O.J.s chart shows that he has Pluto squaring Jupiter, in of course, Scorpio. He was, indeed, the chosen one for our sourjourn into Pluto in Sagittarius.
