Full Moon in Capricorn
Impressions

Somethings got to give; birth contractions; sober realities; do or die; dead ends and revelations; darkest before dawn; secrets revealed; true face unmasked; emotional catharsis; getting real; rooting in own authority; celebrating individualism; moving and shaking.

Cosmic Purgative

The Full Moon on July 3rd at 2:52 pm EDT, is at 12 Capricorn. Here's the chart.

The indigenous soul is turned inside out, with Pluto within orb to the Moon (at 8 degrees), and both square to Uranus (in Aries). This is strong medicine!

Soul Force

There's a taboo to admit full on crying jags, but when it's squeezed to the surface, emotional intensity spilleth over. Sun is in intensely emotional Cancer, on my very own solar degree. I feel like a lunatic, but in a way that I know will be super life-altering. Something within is pushing outward! I don't have real full-body sobbing sessions that often, but when I do, it's a relief. It feels like thawing out. I hope I have a few more before the Full Moon time is over.

Getting real with emotions brings renewed vitality (Sun). Cancer (Sun) is a time to look at emotional independence, something this sign strives for, even as it feels like swimming against the tide. Emotional sovereignty makes you less vulnerable to external manipulation, peer pressure and family credos that go against your soul knowing.

The surge of feelings might overwhelm at this Full Moon. All that you've been holding breaks the dam and spills out. The very structure of your life can be changed by its force. In this way, we see how the urge for emotional authenticity (Cancer Sun) pulls against the terrain of the deep psyche (Pluto) and soul origins (Moon). Much inner revelation happens now, so keep your dreaming eyes open.

All cardinal signs within orb of this t-square are sure to be highly on edge with all that's being purged to the surface. It can be a very healing time! But also one of lunacy, and ancient skeletons and ghosts coming into view.

This big Moon echoes themes of the cardinal cross that's a demand to regenerate. With Uranus in "I Am" Aries, there's a hyper individualistic aspect to this process. There's a trend toward hive mind/group think and constant talk of the 'collective.' But the real genius is standing sovereign, discovering new ways to see reality, and acting on self-sourced wisdom.

Independence Days

It's the same Sun degree as America's chart from its origins as a constitutional republic. I'm honored to share this birthday with such an inspired Declaration of independence. The ideals of freedom, and the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" held up and celebrated on July 4th, were hard won. Far from being fully realized and full of dark paradoxes, the constitutional republic has been an experiment in freedom, and what that really means for a society.

One of the founding fathers Benjamin Franklin was asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?” He responded famously, “A Republic, if you can keep it.”

I saw this quote recently from Albert Camus, that's illustrative for me of July 4th, 2012 under a Uranus-Pluto square. "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion." May the ideals of the republic, and the fire lit for a free human society, live on in each of us.

Cancer-Capricorn

(Capricorn) is the sign of climbing mountains, and being dedicated to what matters deeply. At the Full Moon, we're drawn into the karma-heavy, rich, musty, earthy caves of the planetary past -- and can find the wisdom of the ages there.

The Cancer-Capricorn opposition blends two signs that draw in what they need, and fiercely resist what they don't want. Both can appear to brood and go deep within, only to end up surrounding themselves with emotional and material structures that are built to last.

This full Moon can root you in the home of the Self, where you take stock of what you've got, and what you need. Capricorn is tough love personified, where no means no. And yes is deep commitment.

The Full Moon in this wise old sign takes us to the depths and the peaks. It's a particular kind of sight, one where you might get the thousand yard stare. You're watching with a knowing that includes the intellect, but is so much more.

Wild-card Aries

Uranus in Aries makes the future up for grabs -- literally! Did you hear about the 11-year-old girl who creates spontaneous fires with her mind? This strikes me as the kind of astounding news that wakes us up to changes in human consciousness. And that's where the roots of change are, for all we'd like to see rehumanized and revitalized.

What's Struggling to Be Born?

Brave hearts; human ingenuity; a foothold in leadership for honest people; getting out from under debt (and its bondage); freeing the mind of negativity; new understanding about reality itself; humanity's full power to imagine; the ability to flex creative muscles; the right to share in earth's bounty; the responsibility to live in harmony with nature.

More Themes Surfacing:

Wild fires; solar flares; quakes, new lands (volcanoes); David vs. Goliath; global corporate consolidation meets the real human being or community; courageous young at heart; continued war for earth's resources; harvest of souls; breaking programming; defiant optimism; clashing agendas; unseen influences (interdimensional) steering humanity; rotten, false government; ancient past unearthed.

Here we've got a chance to come home to what has true depth and resonance. What awakens the mind to the point that it's on fire! What resounds to the bones and echoes through time? Lie on the ground and listen, take yourself and your dreams seriously, receive divine hits for your master plan....
