This Full Moon in Aquarius comes with a Lunar Eclipse, the last in a series of three that have thrown many for a Loop. It's been a summer series that's knocked us off our moorings, while dropping hints of a very different way of ordering the future. In this death of what we've known, people are going through the shock, denial, anger phases to deal with the breakdown. It's an intense time, to say the least!

Shockwaves

So this Full Moon in Aquarius promises more unsettling shocks, as triggers for change. The myths of Aquarius have to do with great floods that change everything. And as the Waterbearer, Aquarius brings waves of change that are triggers for revolution. There's a collective element to it....it zaps us all, and it's a shared experience.

The Aquarian ruler, Uranus, is cosmic consciousness, as a higher octave of Mercury. The messages could come from anywhere -- through a stargate in space even-- and become an inspired thought. That's why it's so unnerving to the diehard establishment, and even painted as dangerous, a rebel, an insurgent. Aquarius speeds up evolution, sometimes bringing on sudden jerks forward.

Mania or Magic?

The erratic energies of Aquarius, along with other aspects that have humanity on the "stretching machine" are sending many over the edge. With frenetic cosmic energies revving up, it's critical to find ways to avoid spinning out. It helps to take time to go within, and turn up the volume on your internal guidance. Steer clear of mass hysteria. Cut out the things that make you more anxious or dulled. You'll want to be as sharp as possible now and in the foreseeable future.

Breaking Through

In her wonderful essay on this Full Moon, Cathy Lynn Pagano writes, "This second lunar eclipse within a month opens the door to release any left-over illusions we still harbor that life will go on as usual. Lunar eclipses energize us to shed old habits and let go of the past so that the doorways to the future can open." And since Aquarius is the sign of the imagined future, it's a call to participate in the creation of the new.

Outer Planets in Tension: Much More Breakdown Ahead

Some power figures may face a reckoning soon, as Pluto square Uranus gets folks all riled up. We're all being affected by how society is structured, and more start to see its built-in flaws.

This tension is heightened, by an opposition between status quo authority (Saturn) and the heart awakening of the people (Uranus). There may be lots of righteous women and men on the march, with Venus in opposition to Pluto. The currents are there for feminine values of protecting the young and vulnerable, as a counterweight to destructive forces.
