I've often wondered if I would be brave in the face of brutality, if it ever came to that. Her famous last words were, "The Sun Still Shines," and she also wrote of seeing beauty despite the horrors around. Just because so many things are in conflict does not mean that we ourselves should be divided. Each of us has choices of how to react when chaos takes hold.
