The New Moon in Leo happens here in the dog days of summer (in the N. Hem). The Sun -- Leo's ruler -- has a ripening (and wilting!) effect. Very soon, we enter Virgo season, and the sifting and sorting of the harvest begins.

Leo is the naturally sunny side of your nature. Your Leo house (and planets) move on the strength of your personal aspirations. The double dose (Sun-Moon) of Leo makes your own impulses louder, even as the New Moon is a time for restful musing.

This lunation is a time-out to dream of what you love. You might have a ponder on how to do more of what you love -- for a living. What puts color back into your vision of the future?

It's about finding encouragement in those "favorite things" that you're naturally drawn toward. Perhaps it's time to update your list of favorites. Or release a dream that's no longer alive and make room for a new dream.
