Pluto in Sagittarius and 9/11
The Quest for Truth

"9/11 is a Cancer of Fear that grows where America's heart once was." (Anon)

In her article, A Matter of Perception, "truth vs. Truth" astrologer Melody Zindell writes, "Collectively, this retrograde period (of Pluto in Sagittarius) could well bring some surprises that again challenge our perceptions of reality, such as possible extraterrestrial contact in some manner, or something equally jolting, which will bring with it yet newer predicaments relative to society and government." I'm starting to believe that one of those surprises is the current mass awakening to the truth about September 11th.

First, let me share that I was living in downtown Manhattan, in the shadow of the World Trade Center, and witnessed the events from a few blocks away. Pluto had been in opposition to my Moon in Gemini for awhile, and the collapse of the twin towers was the shattering climax. It felt like the end of the world. One of my strangest memories is being the only person walking down lower Broadway a few days after. All the metal doors on stores were rolled down, and there was an eerie dead silence. I saw a cardboard table and a Salvation Army volunteer that said the female rescue workers desperately needed underwear. Just weeks before, my Mom had sent me a package of Jockey for Her, and it was unopened, ready to take to ground zero. Swept up in a force greater than myself, I suddenly quit my job as a writer to volunteer full time for the Salvation Army and Red Cross. I was in shock like everybody else, but also felt that soul-level bond of humanity that hung over the city, the nation and for a time, the world.

I believe there are no accidents, and I was filled with a sense of purpose. I went to ground zero a few times to help serve the rescue workers. But the most profound experience was talking with families of "the Missing," and surviving workers of the WTC complex. As a full time case worker volunteer through March of 2002, I helped them get vouchers to pay utility bills and rent. In those first dreamlike days after, the hand of destiny led me to the Armory where the family members came and formed long lines, wanting to do something for their lost loved one. We looked at lists to see who was showing up in which hospital, or heaven forbid, had been identified. I was supposed to raise my hand if I saw a name, so that a counselor trained in traumatic grief could come over. For most, there was no news, and no way to give comfort. I'll never forget their faces and stories.

There was a tender vulnerability in the air all through Fall of 2001, which was not a normal season, but a kind of suspended reality. And the bellicose language we started to see, the language of revenge, from our leaders, was strikingly at odds with the compulsion to help others (by giving blood, Chinese food, work boots), the spontaneous memorials all over the city, and the need for time to recover and make sense of what had happened. As a nation, we were denied time to do that before our course to war was set.

The dark side of Pluto in Sagittarius (since 1995) can be detected in the extreme acts against others in the name of an ideology, sometimes religion. With unchecked power (Pluto), a crusade was launched against "evildoers," without the balance of looking at the evil of the acts themselves. Or looking into the mirror (Gemini) at what might be blow back from our own shadowy covert actions abroad. With the detached precision of an ad campaign, the powers-that-be orchestrated a Matrix (Scott McClellan's Secret Service Code name) of deception that lead us into war on two countries not involved in 9/11.

At the time of the Sept 11th attacks, Saturn (in Gemini) and Pluto were in opposition. In the face of Pluto's power, Saturn can recoil in fear, and seek security. In Gemini, I believe Saturn's fear put blinders on us with limited perception, and we saw what we wanted to see. It took discipline and and the courage to face fear, to find your own truth, to defy the Official Truth. Anyone that deviated and dared to ask questions has been fired, scorned or even given death threats -- think former Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, Dixie Chicks, Michael Moore and more recently Rosie O'Donnell and Oscar-winner Marion Cottilliard.

There have also been whistleblowers that had been part of a top secret CIA program tracking "terrorist" cells within the U.S. called Able Danger that say their careers have been ruined for telling the truth. The counter-force to truth seeking is no less than Pluto's promise of total annihilation, backed up by veiled threats and even open ones. On his radio program broadcast June 10th, for example, Michael Reagan, the son of our former President, advocated the murder by firing squad of anyone that suggests that 9/11 might've been an inside job.

In the darkest, most hidden corridors of the 9/11 cover-up, is the suspicion that "what you know can get you killed." Pluto makes it a life and death issue -- either dying for a lie or dying for the truth. Some of the 9/11 family members that pressed for the 9/11 Commission said they already felt dead, or there was "nothing to lose." From that place, standing in the flames of annihilation with their loved ones, they were able to face the force of Pluto's threatening power.

But there is strength in numbers and the 9/11 Truth movement has grown, and now has meet-ups in most large cities. The whole point is to "think for yourself," and do what the media hasn't done -- connect the dots. To discover for yourself, critiquing what's been presented as fact, and integrating threads of the story that have been censored, minimized or gone unreported in the mainstream media. There are professionals and scientists looking at this pivotal event from their particular fields of experience. For example, the Pilots for 9/11 Truth have analyzed the flight data recorder of Flight 77, the one that allegedly hit the Pentagon. Their film Pandora's Black Box is a pilot's take on why the official story cannot be true. If you Google 9/11 and truth, you'll find hundreds of sites. The two that I trust the most to present balanced material are 9/11 We Know.com, and Want to Know.Info .
