A Follow-up Conversation with Susan Miller

I already posted some of Susan’s comments about how “Saturn leaves a gift by the door after he leaves." Saturn will return to Virgo from April 7th to June 21st of next year but only in the last degrees. Susan says Saturn is returning to make sure those late degree Virgo-Pisces people get their full tutorial. But says Susan, “when he comes back, it’s never as hard. And they (Pisces-Virgo) deal with Saturn really well, because they don’t fight it.”

Soon Libras will start to be in Saturn’s sights, with September Libras feeling the heat at the end of this year. “With Saturn on the Sun,” says Susan, “I find that you get to choose your challenge….like I want to start a business or get married and have a baby. You know it’s a big deal, and people give you advice.

”When Saturn is opposite the Sun (like for Aries), the universe gives you a challenge to see what you’ll do with it. “ Susan says this can be very good for Aries, as a way of tempering the impulsive streak. “For Aries, it’ll be the partner that will slow them down, maybe an investor or a wise mentor that is saying, ‘Hey, think through this. ‘”

Many Capricorns may start a business, since Saturn is going into the Solar 10th House, says Susan. And there may be a dramatic career change, but it won’t happen overnight, she says. Susan cites her own example of changing from being an agent for commercial photography to starting her astrology site. “It happened over a long period, something like four years,” she says. But since it’s Saturn, it ends up being an enduring structural change.

There will also be an emphasis on the aging population and their needs. She says, “Saturn is where you get attention in society, and the babyboomers will be starting to take their social security, and there will be heightened focus on illness in the aged. Look for more societal concern about diseases like arthritis and alzheimers.

”Jupiter in Aquarius is going to be nice and strong to the end of this year,” says Susan. The planet of luck, faith and grow goes direct on October 13th! Says Susan, “I hear from many Aquarians who are saying, “I’m not sure Jupiter has been helping me too much, and they’re right, Jupiter has been taking a nap.” As it goes direct, and gets electrified. Susan predicts growth in the computer/internet/gadgets industry in time for the holiday season. People will notice it, especially around the 13th. When a big planet wakes up, you feel it.”

There was intensity in the sixties that had an astrological mirror in the conjunctions and oppositions of outer planets. Susan says then as now, there were “rogue planets” in play, provoking change. “In those days, education was the trigger point, as women and black people were becoming more educated and said, we’re not going to accept second class citizenship anymore. This time, I hate to say it, but it was really excess greed. And these outer planets are triggers that will start creating birth pangs for a new social order. “

These outer planets rein us back in, says Susan, or show us that we have evolved to a new place. “We then need to acknowledge it and make new laws, that establish more equality, and a fair situation. These planets are our friends. They reach a tipping point, and you have to look at it and correct it. It beings with public discussion, where everyone has their own ideas of what should happen.”

”It’s the chaos of birth. It hurts and we can’t see beyond our own pain. But after awhile, we start the work of compromise. These are slow moving planets that demand that you can’t skip any steps. It’s the slow way of negotiating, and I don’t think the universe wants it any other way. We are a work in progress.”
