Virgo and Scorpio Love Compatibility

Virgo and Scorpio act like covert agents on first dates. Neither one likes to reveal too much about themselves, and that can make things tricky.

Both have a tendency to convey a neutral attitude, not wanting to give anything away. There's a lot of sizing up before either one is given a security clearance.

Subtle Messages

Scorpio is the stealth lover and will want to feel out Virgo for signs of interest. They do this by sending subtle messages and looking for ways to tease and build romantic tension. Virgo is also a subtle communicator and typically very demure.

If Virgo sticks to the program or nervously talks data or systems processing, Scorpio might not find a way to show off their smooth moves. As a result, they may look elsewhere for the intensity they're seeking.

Virgo is even more cautious in love than Scorpio, but both like to guard their secrets. Each has an aura of self-containment, which can be mutually fascinating and stir up a sense of challenge.

These signs peer at each other with a discriminating gaze. They both love to analyze people and situations, and that makes the conversation flow easily. Virgo and Scorpio are both realists who recognize the cold, hard facts of life.

Virgo in love wants their rules to be respected and their likes and dislikes closely observed.

Scorpio in love is ultra private and a natural detective, often sleuthing social media for data.

Honesty and Discipline

Scorpio's gift for saying startlingly true things may overwhelm the guarded Virgo. But if Virgo turns a critical eye on Scorpio, the former may offer a few sharp observations of their own. Both signs can dish it out, but neither takes it very well. Being in the spotlight triggers defensive behavior. These two will need to learn when to offer criticism and when to bolster the other with support.

Virgo admires Scorpio's ability to focus on one life goal at a time. Both like to stay productive and work toward concrete objectives. At times, they may seem more like allies than lovers. Taking time to do things just for fun, though difficult for these signs, is well worth it. Both need outlets that help them decompress from the stress of daily life.

Scorpio is reassured by Virgo's need for daily structure, and the need for solitude gives Scorpio time to do their own thing as well. To Scorpio, high-strung Virgo may seem scattered and disorganized, unable to find the focus they need to accomplish their goals.

Pros and Cons

An un-evolved Scorpio may take advantage of an insecure Virgo, and wield the kind of dark psychic power for which "bad Scorpios" are infamous. At its extreme, this kind of relationship has master-and-servant dynamics that potentially bring out the worst in both.

Virgo needs full disclosure and honesty once trust is established, and that can be a challenge for Scorpio. Nevertheless, once Scorpio has found a loyal Virgo mate, there's a good chance that openness becomes the norm. Intimacy brings out the deep sensuality and intense sex drive of Scorpio, while Virgo prefers quality over quantity.

Both signs appreciate technical prowess, making their sex life an area of growth. Much can be smoothed over with physical intimacy. Scorpio will need to be patient with Virgo's reserved (at times) style. The Virgo is an earth sign, albeit a sensitive one, who seeks clean places to rendezvous.

Although they'll face many challenges, Virgo and Scorpio have a strong chance of finding enduring love.
