If you can see past the "end of the world" hype about 2012, you'll find the wise ones with another view. In the book, 2012: Crossing the Bridge to the Future, the master astrologer Ellias Lonsdale is quoted saying, "The riddle of our time is figuring out how to keep ourselves busy while the old drama of corrupt power plays its final scene. Underneath business as usual, though, the world's becoming pliant and volatile, claylike, raw, newborn, filled with danger and possibility." I've had the good fortune of being a student in his TeleClasses, co-taught with Mark Borax, the author of the above title. It's not exaggeration to say Ellias Lonsdale holds everyone in thrall. Every word he utters is poetry, and unlocks an inner knowing in the listener.
Lonsdale is the wizard who initiated a group of seekers in Santa Cruz, California back in the 80s. One of those seekers, Mark Borax, wrote about this Mystery School, and his own initiation into the cosmic mysteries and his quest for romantic love. In it, he also writes about the coming time of dying so we could be reborn. Mark has written about how a quickening that's happening, a kind of karmageddon is a doorway to finding the Gold in the past, and that those of us alive now are birthing the new Earth.
It's a miraculous thing that we can gather as seekers with visionary astrologers like Ellias and Mark, even if we're on different continents. Will we always have the wisdom of sages so close at hand? In this time of awakening to possibility, I wholeheartedly recommend the upcoming Telecourse, Springing Karma: Turn your greatest challenges around via the 12 houses. It's a look at the houses, and the "Hassles that refuse to go away through the course of our lives stem from karmic riddles we've been trying to unravel in life after life." From the course description: "When we grasp these root challenges and turn them around, we spring karma to destiny, transforming our burdens to gain great thrust along our arc of evolution. Ellias will really dig into students' lives to conjure his own brand of regenerative magic."
It's timely for the regenerative soul mining (Sun Scorpio) that is part of living out our uniqueness. And carrying no this theme of digging into ourselves to discover the natural resources we have to work with. Wrote Mark in his odyssey, "One night William (Ellias) told us, "True astrology, contrary to the pop version, is the art of identifying a person's uniqueness. That everyone is unique is a truism so commonplace as to be cliche. But authentic star work pinpoints the precise ways each of us is a distinct one-of-a-kind being." Now is the time to emerge into the fullness of who we really are.
