The Letting Go Crossroads

Time to be brave about what needs to go! The waning Half Moon in Aries is tomorrow (Thursday) for the will and force to make decisive changes. It's cliche to use garden analogies, but I did have the thought while weeding that it's time to get fierce about cutting out what's draining and a time-stealer at this crossroads.

In the post on Creating our Timeline, Red Skywalker made a comment that ended with, "This summer triangle is the door through which we go, leave the old, get a good shower and seal the door on July 1st." The Half Moon is the "leave the old" part before the next Cancer Solar Eclipse on that day.

At the waning Third Quarter or Half Moon, we sacrifice the familiar, to make room for something new. Here with transiting Moon in feisty Aries, we might be letting go of habits of playing small, insecure, helpless. Or it could mean daring to break out of a stifling role, even if it riles up those who count on you to Be that person.

The crossroads feel is bound to be intense Thursday (June 23rd) as the highly energized Aries Moon, the sign of fresh starts, makes a sextile to Mars, aligns with Uranus, then squares Pluto and later opposes Saturn. It can be a time of testing, and trusting your instincts to make decisions that you know are right, but still bring up the nervous butterflies of change. How badly do you want this new beginning? This is the time to persevere and endure the sense of being off balance that comes with making changes.

  • Making changes that protect your personal atmosphere, including cutting out activities that dilute your energy.
  • Taking your ambitions seriously, and making time for the goals associated with them.
  • Speaking up, even though what you have to say rocks another's world.
  • Scythe off the distractions that creep in insidiously (I have a few of these), and feel like time wasted.
