Star People and the Garden

The Woodstock Generation

August 15, 16 and 17th marks the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, the "Aquarian Exposition," that is symbolic for an entire generation having a breakthrough. Nearly 1/2 million young teens and twentysomethings met for 3 Days of Music and Peace. A quickening force of change surged up in the late 60s, in a way that liberated them to seek new ways of living. And now that we're in such a time of awakening, it's easy to imagine being swept up in a force greater than yourself.

The Completion of a Cycle

On that note, David Wilcock just wrote about the divinely-inspired songs of Woodstock, its legacy, and how younger generations are completing the 40-year-cycle now. The cycling back has to do with rejection of the entire system as corrupt -- something we're seeing now. It's the lifting of veils that reveal illusions that hold us in bondage.

Hippies are Now Elders

That "hippy" generation felt a collective surge and urge to evolve, not unlike what's coming through now. At that time, Pluto (transformation) and Uranus (awakening) had been close up to that point, but were not longer conjunct. These two cosmic heavy hitters were in Virgo, the sign of healing, natural processes, and service. That's why it's meaningful that the gathering happened on a Farm in Bethel, New York, and the Farmer, Max Yasgur, gave them his blessing. It mirrors the "back to the land" and "back to the basics" we're seeing now. Only now, Saturn the wise teaching planet is in Virgo, bring these ideas to maturity. The dreams of those days are mainstream, and many hippy's are now the elders of our time.

Clouds of Darkness

But if this is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, where's the peace and love? Why does evil seem to have such a powerful hold? Wilcock is one of the few metaphysical writers -- fully aware of dark agendas -- who puts a positive spin on the future. He encourages readers not to fear, that the collapse and chaos is part of the process. It's an ongoing part of the "ascension" process to find ways to liberate human consciousness from a kind of devilish hold.

Devil's Bargain Revealed

Wilcock looks back at Joni Mitchell's song Woodstock (later made famous by Crosby, Stills & Nash) and its lyrics, "We are stardust — billion year old carbon. We are golden — caught in the devil’s bargain. And we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden…" Writes Wilcock, "This has unique relevance for today’s world, as so many more people are now realizing the true "rottenness" at the core of government, military and industry — just as the Cayce Readings predicted would occur in these times. The word ‘devil’ is not an exaggeration in the least, based on what we now know."

He continues, "In a very real sense, the times we are now in seem to be the fulfillment of what was first put into motion in Woodstock. The ‘devil’s bargain’ has been revealed — and the public is now "mad as hell and are not going to take it anymore. This certainly makes it a dangerous time, particularly for politicians attending "town hall meetings" — but it is also one that is ripe with potential."

Perils and Potential

It's clear to me that we're in a volatile time, and this Fall is going to test our faith. On the one hand, there are amazing discoveries being made that open our eyes to our true power as divine beings. And on the other hand, it's hard to see how there could be a happy ending the way things are going. This Fall -- exact on September 15th -- Saturn (in Virgo) will come into its third opposition to the Awakener, Uranus (in Pisces). This could bring chaos, more natural disasters, and devastating collapses of institutions.

But both signs are mutable, dissolving signs, and ones of surrender. What's being torn asunder is making room for the new, though at the time it feels like the world is ending. The systems of control may tighten, and change resisted with "draconian" measures. But the momentum for evolution can't be stopped, just like you can't hold back a surging ocean that's threatening the shore. It's a time when fast changes are possible, when the right innovation is put forth. And the vibe of awakening can move through the masses, changing everything in an instant. This is just a taste of what's to come between now and 2012.

Our Future is in the Stars

Another Aquarian theme is the greater cosmos, and the yearning to know the truth about "aliens" and how that fits in with our own human origins. In one of the most illuminating interviews I've ever seen, Bob Dean, a former Army officer with top secret clearance, says we've never been alone. He shows images of craft taken by Apollo astronauts, and one that looks like an airport on Mars. Some of what he says is shocking, and forces a re-arranging of the worldview that is hard for a lot of people. But the info being revealed by him and others in the secret space program, mainly in interviews with comes when Jupiter is in Aquarius, and our minds are unusually open.

A Hybrid Race

In the kindly voice of an octogenarian grandfather, Dean says we're likely a hybrid race. And that this is a transitional period when we will be evolving into a brand new race. "We're growing up," he says, "And we're being helped by family." What we're experiencing are growing pains, birth pains that are a natural part of this transition. Dean says it won't be long before we meet our star family, maybe even this year.

The interview is a breakthrough in the UFO circuits, with real pictures that NASA had tried to destroy during the Apollo missions. They are evidence that we've been denied the truth because of other agendas. It brings home something I saw recently about this time. "It's not the end of the world. It's the end of Their world." And by "They," it's referring to those that would stop human spiritual evolution.

At the close of his presentation, Dean showed an image of the Earth, and this brings everything full circle, back to Gaia as a living entity. It conveys the emerging consciousness. "That is the true holy land, our beloved planet. We would not be here if it were not for her. She was feminine to our ancestors. She was the Goddess. And she has a heart."
